John 1 :12

But as many as received him, to them gave power / authority to become the sons of God. Who owe their sonship not to the corruptible seed, but the incorruptible word of God

The Pharisees therefore said unto him; Who is your witness

The Jewish system of law required two or more individual persons to bear witness Deuteronomy 19:15

One witness is not enough to convict a man accused of any crime or offense he may have committed.

John 8: 14 Jesus answered, and said unto them, though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true:

Testimony of Jesus

Hebrew 10:5.. That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer. And I said, ‘Behold, I come’, because in the beginning of The Writings it is written of me, ‘to do your will, oh God

John 4:25,26 – Jesus acknowledged to the Samaritan woman that He was the Messiah (Christ).

John 9:35-37 – He told a blind man whom He had healed that He was the Son of God.

Matthew 26:63-66 – During His trial in the presence of His enemies, Jesus acknowledged that He was the Christ, the Son of God

Testimony of the Holy-spirit

John 15..26″When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, 27and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

1 John 5…6 This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: The Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.”If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son’.

Testimony of God

Jesus’ baptism – Luke 3:22..At Jesus’ baptism, the Father spoke from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

The transfiguration – Matthew 17:1-6; 2 Peter 1:16-18..At the Transfiguration the Father again spoke from heaven saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” He said this is why we should listen to Jesus.

Testimony of The Disciples

Acts 1:21″Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us– beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us– one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection.”…

When Peter confessed Jesus to be the Christ, the Son of the Living God, Jesus said that the Father Himself had revealed this to Peter. [John 6:69]

Testimony of the Scriptures

1 Corinthians 15:4 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve.…

Testimony of Prophecy

Jeremiah 23:5,6 – Jeremiah prophesied. He predicted a King who would be called the Lord of Righteousness and would reign and prosper as a descendant of David. The fulfillment. Acts 13:22,23 – Jesus was born of the seed of David to be a Savior. [Matthew 1:1; Luke 3:31; Acts 2:29-36; Romans 1:3]

His birthplace. The prophecy. Micah 5:2 – Out of Bethlehem Ephrathah would come the ruler of Israel, whose goings forth have been from everlasting. This prophesies a ruler who actually existed from eternity but would come out of Bethlehem. The fulfillment. Matthew 2:1-6 – The Jews of Jesus’ day correctly understood this to be a prophecy of the birthplace of the Messiah/Christ. They even used it to direct the wise men to that place. Despite the fact that Joseph and Mary lived in Nazareth (across the length of Palestine from Bethlehem), yet Jesus was born in Bethlehem exactly as predicted.

Birth to a virgin..The prophecy..Isaiah 7:14 – The Lord gives a sign that a virgin would conceive and give birth to a Son who would be called Emmanuel (“God with us”). The fulfillment..Matthew 1:18-25 – Joseph was upset to learn that Mary had conceived before they had the physical union of marriage, but the angel explained that she had conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit. He then cited this as a fulfillment of Isaiah 7:14. The fulfillment proves beyond doubt that the prophecy predicted conception by a woman who had no physical union with a man (cf. Luke 1:26-38).

Testimony of Fore-runner: John Baptist

The prophecy.. Isaiah 40:3,4 – Someone would come crying in the wilderness to prepare the way of the Lord, smoothing the rough places, straightening the crooked places, etc. [Malachi 3:1; 4:5,6]

The fulfillment.. Luke 3:2-5 – This was fulfilled by John the Baptist, who came preaching in the wilderness Three had borne witness to these doctrines concerning the person and the salvation of Christ.

The Father, repeatedly, by a voice from heaven declared that Jesus was his beloved Son. The Word declared that He and the Father were One, and that whoever had seen him had seen the Father. And the Holy Spirit, who descended from heaven and rested on Christ at his baptism; who had borne witness to Him by all the prophets; and gave testimony to his resurrection and mediator office, by the gift of miraculous powers to the apostles.

Listening to God

Why do we need to listen to God?

God wants a personal relationship with us. He wants to reveal himself to us – his revelation always enhances his relationship with us. God acts in grace. We are called into Yahweh’s presence to hear his thoughts and are then sent into the world to speak his words.

How do we even start?

(1)   Know the father We can learn about receiving revelation by studying his relationships

God is not Visible ;

Nothing should be used to represent God

Know that the LORD Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; Psalm 100:3

God is Active

The year 626 BC. God called a man Cyrus. First Iraq (Babylon) / Iran (Persian) war. Cyrus was victorious. God rules in the affairs of men.

God is not a natural force

God is beyond nature and not part of nature. He is the creator and not to be personally identified with any aspect of his creation

God is personal

God was personally involved in the life of Esther.  She was an orphan raised by her uncle, found herself married to the King.

God is not abstract

God is beyond human description. In the old testament no attempt is made to describe God.

God is hidden

Sometimes God seems silent. Psalm 77. Psalm of Asaph

(2)   Know the Word of God

The written Word is the Bible. Purpose is personal and relational. God breathes his word so that we may know him. The Bible is inerrant and infallible. The Holy Spirit used man to write the exact message of God to man. They wrote from their own personal, historical and cultural contexts All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2Tim 3:15-17

(3)   Know God’s will. Can communicate through…

  • Circumstances; Test what we are discerning.
  • Godly thinking/ desires
  • The Spirit’s witness; that can be inner release
  • Must align with the word of God
  • The gifts and fruits of the holy spirit
  • Godly Counsel

Sign of the times

Signs of the times

He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say, ‘ It will be fair weather, for the sky is red’; and in the morning, ‘ It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.

Jesus wants us to be discerning people, he has giving us a mind , he wants us to use it. Jesus spoke about what signs to look for that we are approaching end times.
Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3 NKJV)

(1)False prophets, false teaching
And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:4, 5 NKJV).
We have to know the bible ourselves. We have to be diligent in praying, hearing from God. Our personal one to one relationship has to be strong. This is the one thing that would prevents us from being deceived.

(2) Wars and rumors of war
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (Matthew 24:6 NKJV)

Jesus predicted that prior to his return wars & rumors of wars would be the headline of the day.
This prophecy describes two concepts: (1) Open wars taking place and (2) Rumors or “threats” of war. A more familiar term would be “hot wars” and “cold wars”. No other period in history has witnessed such unmistakable trends with relation to war.
20th Century onwards
Congo Free State (1886-1908): 8,000,000 died
First World War (1914-18): 15,000,000 died
Russian Civil War (1917-22): 9,000,000 died
Soviet Union, Stalin’s regime (1924-53): 20,000,000 died
Second World War (1939-45): 66,000,000 died
Biafra civil war ; Nigeria (1966-70): 1,000,000 died
People’s Republic of China, Mao Zedong’s regime (1949-1975): 40,000,000 died
Rwanda (1994, primarily Tutsi killed by Hutu) 937,000 died
In the 21st century, the “war on terror” has dominated our headlines.
There are currently 41 conflicts worldwide contributing to military and civilian casualties

Our generation is familiar with great wars. It is difficult to realize how much death and destruction accompanied the twentieth century and how many threats persist in the 21st century. Jesus spoke of a time just prior to his return that would be marked by wars and the constant threat of wars. Since those words were spoken 2000 years ago, no time period but ours has witnessed such conflict from “nation rising against nation”. The evidence presented above reflects that we are living in a time period marked by war and the persistent threat of war.

(3)Ethnic group against ethnic group
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. (Matthew 24:7, 8 NKJV)
(Note: The original Greek word translated “nation” was “ethnos,” from which we get our word “ethnic.”)
Ethic which means “a tribe, nation, or people group united by a common religion, standard, or philosohy“. There is no greater current conflict than the Western Civilization and the Islamic world that illustrates opposing groups of people waring against each other.
The Serbian & Yugoslav wars of the 1990s lead to a genocide, ethnic cleansing, and human rights atrocities to prompt a NATO military response. (Source: Wikipedia “Serbian & Yugoslav War Crimes“)

(4) Tribulation
“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. (Matthew 24:9 NKJV)
Christ described the signs as birth pain. When a woman goes into labor the birth pain starts.
(1) In the beginning the labour pains are infrequent, irregular, and involve only mild cramping.
(2) It becomes active labor when contractions are more frequent than every 5 minutes. The birth pain is frequent. The duration of labour varies widely, but active phase averages some 8 hours

When Jesus died for our sin, the birth pain started. For 2000 years we have been in a state of birth pain. We are now entering into a labor active stage.
Jesus said
“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! (Matthew 24:32, 33 NKJV).

Fig tree ..this is Israel The trees are bearing fruit again:
a bumper crop of fig trees and vines!. that I’m in the thick of life with Israel, That I’m your God, yes, your God,
(Joel 2).

When Israel starts bearing fruit again and the above start happening in more frequency when you know that it is near at the door.
Jesus said
Revelation 12
12“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”
17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

God is doing a new thing

It is time to be sensitive in the Spirit, God is actively working in our age

God’s people are popping up in the most unlikely places.

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:18-20 NIV)

The only Super Star in this end time move of God is ;
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Isaiah 43 was written for our day. So great is going to be the out pouring of the Holy Spirit, it would out shine, Exodus and previous moves of God;
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

It is time to pray for unsaved loved one, pray for all sick around you. Boldly proclaim Christ.

End time people of God

Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes (Joel 2:2 NIV)

At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale. They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers.
They do not jostle each other; each marches straight ahead.
The Lord thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys his command. (Joel 2:6-8, 11 NIV)

Be glad, people of Zion, rejoice in the Lord your God, for he has given you the autumn rains because he is faithful. He sends you abundant showers, both autumn and spring rains, as before. “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm — my great army that I sent among you. (Joel 2:23, 25 NIV)

We shall stand with Israel

And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls. Joel 2: 32
and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
Roman 11;26

The Lord is gathering his end time people together; Sign up

And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. (Joel 2:28, 30, 31 NIV)

Those who call on the name of The Lord shall be saved

Passover Day two

1Peter 1:19

Rather, the payment that freed you was the precious blood of Christ, the lamb with no defects or imperfections.

Exodus 12:5
The lamb shall be without blemish, a male of one year; ye shall take it out from the sheep or from the goats;

It was a lamb without blemish. A blemished lamb, if it had the smallest speck of disease, the least wound, would not have been allowed for a Passover. The priest would not have suffered it to be slaughtered, nor would God have accepted the sacrifice at his hands. It must be a lamb without blemish. And was not Jesus Christ even such from his birth?

Unblemished, born of the pure virgin Mary, begotten of the Holy Spirit , without a taint of sin; his soul was pure, and spotless as the driven snow, white, clear, perfect; and his life was the same. In him was no sin.

He took our infirmities and bore our sorrows on the cross. He was in all points tempted as we are, but there was that sweet exception, “yet without sin.” A lamb without blemish. Ye who have known the Lord, who have tasted of his grace, who have held fellowship with him, doth not your heart acknowledge that he is a lamb without blemish?

Can ye find any fault with your Saviour? Have you aught to lay to his charge? Hath his truthfulness departed? Have his words been broken? Have his promises failed? Has he forgotten his engagements? And, in any respect, can you find in him any blemish? Ah, no! he is the unblemished lamb, the pure, the spotless, the immaculate, “the Lamb of God who taketh away the sin of the world;” and in him there is no sin.

You give them something to eat

Feeding the 5000
Luke 9:10-17

Christ said to the disciples , “You give them something to eat.”
They answered, “We have only five loaves of bread and two fish—

Jesus took the bread and two fish
the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven,
he gave thanks and broke them.
Then he gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people.
They all ate and were satisfied.

Key to success
1.We need to give what we have to God. Withholding is a trust problem; We do not trust God to met our needs.
Trust God; Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10 NKJV)

2.Jesus looked to heaven and give thanks. Thanks giving is the key. Look to God and give thanks for the little you have. Let everything that has breath praise The Lord

3. Jesus broke the bread and gave the disciples.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”
Luke 6:38

4.The disciples distributed it to the people. The miracle was in the hands of the disciples. The miracle of the feeding went into motion when the disciples distributed the bread and fish to the people.

Mt 16:9 “Do you not yet understand, or remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up? 10 “Nor the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many large baskets you took up? 11 “How is it you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread?

Mr 8:19 “When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?” They said to Him, “Twelve.” 20 “Also, when I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of fragments did you take up?” And they said, “Seven.” 21 So He said to them, “How is it you do not understand?”

Understand the key
Trust God, give, give thanks, receive from God. Then by faith start distributing and you will feed 5000+.

The Same Power that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you

The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
Roman 8:11

The same Dunamis (Power)
Dunamis Definition
strength power, ability,dynamic
inherent power, power residing in a thing by virtue of its nature, or which a person or thing exerts and puts forth
power for performing miracles
moral power and excellence of soul
the power and influence which belong to riches and wealth
power and resources arising from numbers

This is a supernatural ability. Think Sampson. This supernatural enabling

You are more than Average
I have strength (Dunamis) for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. (Philippians 4:13 AMP)

For this reason I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. (Ephesians 1:17-21 NKJV)

The Word of God is like a two edged sword

Definition; Two edged sword
: something that has or can have both favorable and unfavorable consequences

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12 NKJV)

Favorable Consequence
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
Direct my steps by Your word, And let no iniquity have dominion over me.

Your word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it. I rise before the dawning of the morning, And cry for help; I hope in Your word. Plead my cause and redeem me;
Revive me according to Your word. The entirety of Your word is truth, And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

I rejoice at Your word As one who finds great treasure. My tongue shall speak of Your word, For all Your commandments are righteousness. (Psalms 119:105, 130, 133, 140, 147, 154, 160, 162, 172 NKJV)

Unfavorable consequence
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him— the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. (John 12:48 NKJV)
